World War Z is an adaptation of the film PG-13, 2006 Max Brooks novel of the same name. But if my Google search is correct, the film has very little to do with the book. And if history has taught us anything, it is that filming is often not as good as the books that try to adapt - especially if they differ substantially from its source. I, for one, have not read the book, and it is not able to assess whether the World War Z or was not successful adaptation. But I can judge, World War Z, as an independent film, and I must say - it is not particularly good.

The film is mainly about brad pitt character - a former UN official named Gerry Lane - trying to find a cure for the zombie outbreak. There is not much plot to World War Z and the story is not some important points determined. It is one of the problems with World War Z - no real plot development. World War Z 'compensate' for the lack of a coherent story to a rhythm / action are filled quickly. Action scenes of the film literally begin in the first minute, and almost never stop for this party add two hours. To be honest, there is a place in history to find a little 'mild social criticism but nothing essentially different from the usual clichés.

In addition to the weak plot, World War Z, however, has a problem with the way portrays zombies. It was clear that World War Z wanted to break the world record for the film with the highest number of zombies. Of course, for the producers of this film can be impossible to achieve with only actors with makeup, so this purpose they created the broad masses of zombies using CGI. As a result, the zombies in World War Z looks very artificial. Sometimes I still felt like I was watching something a live action games (not unlike Left 4 Dead), which is definitely not a good thing. In addition, World War Z really invest in their characters, save the character Brad Pitt: they are all one-dimensional and boring boring - characters uninteresting and when you die / fight for their lives is not very dramatic for him. Still, if you're really interested in theater / character / general history and just want to see action scenes and eating popcorn - World War Z is the movie for you, because there are some really stunning action scenes and tense. For the rest of you, I do not recommend World War Z because of how disappointing the film seems - it's just a vague shadow of something that would be great.

I really enjoyed this movie however the ending was abit naff but all in all it is a perfect popcorn flick to watch! During the movie you never really ‘see’ the zombies as being blood thirsty cannibals as you’ve seen in other movies such as Dawn of the dead!

The acting in the movie was OK but the performance by Brad Pitt was great so if you’re a fan of him give this a watch!

The CGI was simply breathtaking and at parts the movie was pretty funny even when it wasn’t trying to be!

I have given it an 8 because i think its a pretty good movie despite what the critics say !
