Primus® 2000
The Honeywell developed and patented, Primus® 2000 automatic dual flight control system features a fully integrated fail operational (automatic switching) design. The flight control system integrates the flight director, autopilot and auto throttle with multiple sensor redundancy management in the IC-800 integrated avionics computer (IAC). Through this technique, sensor data from both sides of the aircraft is available to both IACs to provide monitoring as well as continuous operation, should the sensor fail, all without pilot interaction.
